Terms of Use (summary)
1. What WorkpaperIQ is — and is not
WorkpaperIQ is a consulting support tool. It analyzes audit workpapers and offers recommendations to assist the engagement team. It does not perform an audit or review, provide assurance or any attest service, and does not issue audit opinions or conclusions. Nothing it produces is audit evidence.
2. Professional judgment stays with the firm
All audit work, professional judgment, and workpaper decisions remain solely with your firm. WorkpaperIQ output is AI-generated, may contain errors, and is not a substitute for the firm's own procedures or professional judgment.
3. No regulatory outcomes are promised
Use of WorkpaperIQ does not guarantee any regulatory or inspection outcome — and no tool can or should promise one. Outcomes depend on your audit work.
4. Acceptable use
Access codes are issued per firm and per role; keep them within your firm. The service may not be used to misrepresent AI output as human audit work, or in violation of your professional obligations.
5. Free accounts and the free daily allowance
Anyone in the profession can create a free account and use InspectionIQ. Sections 1 to 4 above apply to it in full — a free InspectionIQ result is no more audit evidence than a paid one is.
What the allowance is. A free account includes one InspectionIQ analysis per day. The day resets at midnight US Eastern time, and unused analyses do not carry over. Knowledge-base search is not metered. If you invite a colleague with your invite link and they register, both of you get one additional analysis that same day.
The account is yours alone. One person, one account. Sign-in details are personal to you and are not to be shared, sold, or used by anyone else, and please do not register on someone else's behalf. Because there is no verification email yet, register with an address you actually control.
No service levels. The free tier is provided as-is and as-available. There is no uptime, availability, turnaround-time or support commitment attached to it, and no warranty of any kind. It may be slow, interrupted, or unavailable, and there is no remedy or refund — nothing has been paid.
We may change or withdraw it. We may adjust the daily allowance, pause free analyses for the rest of a day once the free tier's shared daily allowance is used up, change these free-tier terms, or suspend or close any free account — at any time, with or without notice, including where an account is being used abusively or in a way that damages the service for others. Knowledge-base search stays available while free analyses are paused.
What to put into it. Free InspectionIQ works from the industry, audit area and short description you type in. Do not enter client names, workpapers, or other client-confidential material there; the free tier is not covered by a services agreement and is not the place for it.
Your trial data. Trial usage records are kept for 90 days and then cleared. Your account record is kept while the account exists, and so are the analyses you have run — what you typed, and the memo it produced — so that you can reopen them. You can ask us to delete your account and its records at any time through the contact form — see the Privacy notes for what is collected and how removal is handled.
It is not a services agreement. Creating a free account does not create a contract for services, does not entitle you or your firm to workpaper analysis, and does not change any agreement your firm already has with us.
6. Fees
Workpaper analysis is priced per engagement based on complexity, set out in the services agreement. Free accounts and demo sessions cost nothing.
One version string, two pages. This string covers the text on the Terms of Use page and on the Privacy notes together — neither page carries a number of its own. When you create a free account, this exact string is recorded with your account alongside the date and time you accepted it.
It moves only when the substance of either page moves, and when it moves, both pages and the signup record move with it. A correction that changes the wording without changing what we do is shown as a revision date instead: the revision of 4 September 2026 rewrote Privacy §3, because the homepage now has one contact form rather than two, and Privacy §4, to separate the three answers the signup form requires from the optional ones and to say what happens to an optional answer left blank.
Whatever string you accepted stays on your record exactly as it was; a later revision never rewrites it.
